Hi, I’m Kerry Gibbons, RN, CCDS — an ACDIS Approved CDI Educator, mentor, and founder of The Query Corner, LLC. I’m passionate about helping CDI and Coding professionals strengthen clinical reasoning, build confidence in compliant query practice, and develop a deeper understanding of the patient story behind the documentation.
Throughout my years in nursing and CDI, I’ve seen how easy it can be for documentation practices to become overly focused on templates, task completion, and metrics. While structure and efficiency are important, true documentation improvement requires something more: clinical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to recognize when the clinical picture and the documentation do not fully align.
That is exactly why I created The CLINICAL Logic Query Method™.
This innovative, clinically grounded approach is designed to help CDI and Coding professionals move beyond outdated “checking box” query methods, like TRIC, and toward meaningful clinical clarification. Rather than relying solely on scripted language or template-driven workflows, The CLINICAL Logic Query Method™ teaches professionals how to think critically through the chart, recognize documentation gaps, connect clinical indicators, and approach provider communication with greater confidence and clarity.
The goal is to improve the quality, defensibility, and clinical relevance of documentation while supporting compliant practices, stronger provider engagement, and more accurate representation of patient complexity.
This program is for healthcare organizations looking to strengthen documentation practices and was created to provide practical, real-world education that bridges clinical knowledge with compliant documentation strategy.
At The Query Corner, LLC, we believe documentation improvement should support the integrity of the clinical story, strengthen collaboration between teams, and ultimately contribute to better patient outcomes. The CLINICAL Logic Query Method™ was built with that mission in mind.
