Nursing Experience

I have dedicated 15 years to the nursing profession, beginning my career at a renowned hospital in Boston where I provided direct patient care. My experience expanded into the home IV infusion industry, followed by a role as a nurse liaison, helping patients transition from hospital to home care. Eventually, my career path led me into the field of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI).

CDI Career

With eight years devoted to inpatient CDI, I began at a community hospital, learning to navigate patient charts, assisting with denials and appeals, and obtaining my CCDS certification to enhance my expertise. My pursuit of further growth brought me to a Level 1 trauma teaching facility, where I have been for the past three years. In addition, I have spent the last year consulting as a CDI specialist, conducting audits, advising on query compliance, identifying missed CDI/coding opportunities, optimizing DRGs, and collaborating with CDI teams and leadership to review audit outcomes and recommend improvements.

Motivated by a desire to share my expertise, I founded The Query Corner, LLC. My mission is to mentor the next generation of CDI specialists, ensuring they excel while adhering to compliance standards.
